Androniki Agelada
Androniki Agelada holds a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Science and Technology and a master’s degree in Cultural Informatics and Communication, awarded by the University of the Peloponnese and the University of the Aegean in 2018 and 2021 respectively. She is currently a PhD candidate and has begun her doctoral research, which focuses on the use of virtual characters in Virtual Reality applications for the presentation and promotion of Cultural Heritage.
She has participated, and continues to participate, as a researcher in various research projects involving the design and development of Virtual Reality applications in the fields of culture, tourism, and games, funded by national and European resources. To date, she has published nine articles on these topics in international scientific journals and book chapters.
Nikoleta Gourgouli
Nikoleta Gourgouli is a graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts and has completed her postgraduate studies in Fine Arts at Edinburgh Napier University in the United Kingdom. During her studies and thereafter, she has been involved in short film projects in Greece and abroad, with a particular interest in storytelling and writing. She is a PhD researcher in the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication at the University of the Aegean, within the field of Arts and Art History. Her doctoral research focuses on the study of the figure in Posthumanism, exploring its significant manifestations in the realm of the imaginary and contemporary life, with particular emphasis on the relationship between humans and technology. Since the autumn of 2021, she has been a member of the Laboratory of Image, Sound, and Cultural Representation.
MIchalis Katsouris
Orestis Ntantamis
Orestis Ntantamis is a graduate of the Department of Oceanography and Marine Biosciences and holds a master’s degree from the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication of the University of the Aegean, with a specialization in “Design of Digital Cultural Products.” Since 2024, he has been a member of the Laboratory of Image, Sound, and Cultural Representation, and since 2026 he has been a PhD candidate in the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication. He has participated in two research projects and is the author of two scientific publications. His research interests focus on Extended Reality in Health and Safety Education, with particular emphasis on the comparative evaluation of Immersive Virtual Reality and Immersive Augmented Virtuality, as well as on digital applications with educational and cultural orientation.
